Alfredo Sauce
The ultimate splurge is fettuccine Alfredo - pasta smothered in a thick, creamy Parmesan cheese sauce. Until now, this dish has been, as one writer recently said, "A heart attack on a plate." We've changed all that. With our reduced-fat and low-calorie Alfredo Sauce and four main dish variations, you can enjoy it whenever you like.


2      - cups non-fat cottage cheese
3      - tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
2      -tablespoons butter-flavoured granules
1/2   - cup evaporated skimmed milk
1/2   - teaspoon chicken-flavored bouillon granules
1/2   - teaspoon dried basil
1/4   - teaspoon ground black pepper
        - dash of ground red pepper


Step 1
- Combine all ingredients in container of an electric blender; process until smooth, stopping once to scrape down sides.

Step 2
- Pour into small saucepan; cook sauce over low heat, stirring constantly, until thoroughly heated.

Yield: 2 3/4 cups
